I am so excited to announce that Nun Habits has been selected to play in competition at Pilot Light TV Festival. At the end of April 2018, I shot Nun Habits - a 30 minute TV pilot I wrote, produced and directed - with an incredible team of people. It's been a long journey to our world premiere and we couldn't be happier to premiere at Pilot Light!
The Festival is four full days of screenings, panels, and some incredible events including a birthday celebration for the 10th anniversary of Ru Paul's Drag Race, a big Game of Thrones screening and panel, and some pretty incredible UK Premiers of Random Acts of Flyness, Sliced, and Blinded by the Lights. The festival concludes with an awards ceremony where Nun Habits is up for Best International TV Pilot against eight other incredible projects.
Check out the full lineup here (seriously, check it out there's some incredible events) and if you're in Manchester, UK on May 19th, Nun Habits will be screening in TV Pilots Block 3and tickets are absolutely free to attend our screening!
On June 16th, we screened a little sneak preview of Nun Habits Series, giving our contributors a taste of the story and a look at the beginning of the series. We began filming the remainder of the Nun Habits story on April 19th. On April 30th, Nun Habits Series wrapped production and is now moving into post! Stay tuned for updates on all things Nun Habits.
Sonja Cirilo is an incredibly talented director who will be directing the episodes my character appears in. I'm excited to work with her and see what new perspective and voice she brings to this unique story. Learn more about Sonja on the Nun Habits Website.
The Nun Habits Series crowdfunding campaign ended and we reached more than 80% of our goal on Seed & Spark which means we get all of the money contributed to our campaign and can move forward with production. Thank you to everyone who supported us, we can't wait to keep you updated!
On January 20th, I had the incredible opportunity to shoot the first 10 minutes of my original series Nun Habits. Soon, we will be shooting the remainder of the first season after completing a crowdfunding campaign. Stay tuned for details!
While making Nun Habits, I realized that I wanted to share my passion and talents for filmmaking with others to help people tell their own stories. I'm excited to announce my newly formed independent film production company, Soul Series Productions. Our mission is to help bring communities together through diverse storytelling. Learn more about Soul Series by visiting our website.
After working on Nun Habits, Soul Series teamed up with Kara Grace Miller and L2G to produce a new web series called Cheer Up, Charlie! Soul Series is the Line Producer and UPM of Cheer Up, Charlie! and will be overseeing the project through distribution. The series wrapped production on August 25th. Stay tuned for more updates!
I'll be playing an unnamed character in a horror short film produced by L2G Productions. It's so exciting to work with Director Gabrielle Adkins and the rest of the L2G Team! I can't wait to share this project with you.
I have such confidence in Sonja Cirilo as a director and I cannot wait to work with her on this project. Even if it's my story, I have a lot to learn about Megan and I'm excited to dive in and explore her relationship to Catholicism as it relates to the other characters.
On Friday, December 15th, I graduated from Atlantic Acting School's 2.5-year full time conservatory. It has been a long, rewarding journey and I can't believe that it is coming to an end. Stay tuned for what's next for me!
In October, I was in The Last Days of Judas Iscariot. I played Sister Glenna and Saint Matthew. During the production, I did 2 different accents in 7 minutes, where I played a Jewish Man and an Irish Nun. Below are some audience reviews from the show!
“I was beyond thrilled by your work. You are all so connected, giving, courageous, risky, exciting and beautiful...I feel the greatest compliment an actor can give to another actor is to say that watching you made me want to ACT. Thank you for that!” — Jennifer Rau, Actor & Producer
“That was one of the best shows I’ve seen in Stage 2. Your commitment, depth, specificity and sense of play rival almost all the theater I’ve seen this year.” — Michael R Piazza, Actor & Director & Theater Educator
